Thredbo, June 17th: Thredbo Resort is proud to announce the return of its most anticipated freeride event, Battle on The Bluff, Presented by Flip Insurance. This marquee event will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, showcasing Australia’s top freeride skiers and snowboarders as they tackle one of the most challenging and iconic pieces of terrain in the country.

Set on The Bluff, a natural amphitheatre of wind lips, cliff drops and powder-loaded landings – the event provides the ultimate playground for competitors to carve their line, boost their best tricks, and push the limits.

“Battle On the Bluff gives riders the platform to put down creative and unique lines that would rarely be seen outside of competition format,” says Thredbo Events Manager, Sam Noller. “With demanding terrain and a huge $25k prize pool on the line, this event is electric for competitors and spectators alike.”

With $25K in cash and prizes up for grabs, and industry giants such as Oakley, Burton and Rossignol supporting the event, this year’s competition promises to deliver world-class action and next-level stoke for both athletes and spectators.

Presented by Flip Insurance, all competitors can enjoy peace of mind as they are automatically covered for eligible accidental injuries with no sign-up costs.

Spectators can watch the action unfold from key vantage points along the Bluff, with live commentary throughout the day. The event is free to watch with a valid lift pass.
