Indra Brown has launched the weekend with a breakout performance, delivering a superb World Cup debut in the Freeski Halfpipe at Secret Garden (CHN). The 15‑year‑old qualified fourth for Saturday’s final after producing two composed, high‑quality runs opening with an 82.25 before lifting to an 85, putting her firmly in podium contention as she he Brown’s impressive start sets the tone for what promises to be another massive weekend for Australian snowsport athletes, with action already underway or about to kick off across Asia, Europe and North America.

In Steamboat (USA), Joey Elliss lined up in the men’s freeski big air, while snowboarders Val Guseli, Josh Robertson‑Hahn, Jesse Parkinson, Meila Stalker and Ally Hickman are set to begin qualification on Friday, USA time.

Para Alpine skier Josh Hanlon continues his busy World Cup campaign in Steinach am Brenner (AUT). After placing 10th in the Alpine Combined and ninth in the Super G, he returns to the start gate tonight for Race 3 before shifting his focus to the Downhill World Cup in Santa Caterina (ITA) from 15 December.
Ski Cross athletes Liam Michael and Kyra Wheatley are back on course later on Friday following their opening day performances at the World Cup in Val Thorens (FRA).
The Alpine team also faces a packed schedule, with Greta Small racing in St Moritz and Louis Muhlen‑Schulte competing in Val d’Isère. Early next week, Sophie Mahon takes on the Slalom World Cup in Courchevel, while Harry Laidlaw and Muhlen‑Schulte contest the European Cup giant slalom in Valloire.

Australia’s Snowboard Cross squad continues its World Cup campaign in Cervinia, Italy, with world number four Josie Baff, Mia Clift, Amber Essex, Cameron Bolton and Adam Lambert all in action. Meanwhile in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Millie Bongiorno and Harvey Edmanson return to the Snowboard Alpine World Cup tour.
Cross Country athletes face a demanding program in Davos, Switzerland, with team sprint, sprint and 10km racing ahead for Phoebe Cridland, Rosie Fordham, Ellen Lie, Maddie Hooker, Tuva Bygrave, Lars Young Vik, Hugo Hinckfuss, Phillip Bellingham, Seve de Campo and Bentley Walker‑Broose.
