Shirokuro is a short black and white ski film from Australian film maker Dylan Robinson featuring young Australian freeskier Finn Jacobsen. Filmed across Honshu and Hokkaido, Japan, Shirokuro was awarded second place at the 2026 Niseko Shootout film festival.

Minimalist in its approach, the film focuses on texture, sound, snow and the quiet moments between movement. Throughgh deliberate sound design, poetic Japanese voice overlay and a stripped-back visual style, Shirokuro explores what remains when colour falls away, reflecting on contrast, silence and the richness that lives between black and white.
