May 27th, 2026

Mountainwatch | Press Release

The 2026 issue of Chillfactor, Australia’s premiere snowsports magazine, is another great issue, 132 pages of stories photos and mountain characters from home and overseas, designed and printed using the highest quality production values.

After Australia’s most successful Winter Olympics ever this issue features interviews with two standouts: moguls gold medalist Cooper Woods and 16-year-old freeski sensation Indra Brown, who placed fifth in the halfpipe. Outside of the Olympics, Aussie skiers have also been making waves on the freeride circuit, and we profile Hotham’s Lulu Laird, who dominated the European Qualifying Tour with five podiums – four of them wins.

Closer to home, we look back at the 2025 season with a collection of standout photos, take a spring tour of Mt Bogong, and lap Mt Buller. Further afield, we travel to Georgia, Japan, and the French Alps; revisit Whistler and St Anton; and follow Aussie racer Harry Laidlaw as he charges big-mountain lines in Alaska.

We also head to Kicking Horse in Interior BC, fresh off a record-breaking winter with over nine metres of snow, to find out more about this lesser-known mountain and why it is one of the best destinations in North America.

Chillfactor, a celebration of skiing, and Made by Skiers, For Skiers.
