Onwards – Short Film Featuring 16-Year-Old Aussie Freeskier Jasper Rogers
Mountainwatch | Video
Jasper Rogers is one of the most exciting young freeriders on the international scene. The 16-year-old Australian is currently ranked No. 1 on the 2026 Europe/Oceania Junior Tour. Based in Wānaka during the Southern Hemisphere winter, Jasper developed his freeride skills at Treble Cone under the guidance of former coach and current Freeride World Tour champion Ben Richards.
Filmed over the past two winters in New Zealand’s South Island, Onwards showcases not only Jasper’s skiing but also the spectacular peaks of Aotearoa. The film also features Ben Richards and fellow Freeride World Tour skier Toby Rafford.

From Jasper:
Over the last two winters we travelled across the South Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand. From Aoraki/Mt Cook, to the mountains around Wānaka. Stoked to link with the @huntcinema crew and share this project with you all. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.
‘ONWARDS’ is about the places, the people, and the moments that made the last two New Zealand winters so memorable.
