Snow Machine Returns to Hakuba Valley in 2027 with an Electrifying First line up Announcement

Celebrating its fifth year in Hakuba, Snow Machine is heading back to Japan for 2027 with a huge first lineup of world-class electronic artists, delivering five unforgettable days of skiing, snowboarding, music and mountain adventures in the breathtaking Hakuba Valley.
Leading the first artist announcement is Irish DJ and producer KETTAMA, renowned for his infectious house and hard dance productions and electrifying festival performances at the likes of Glastonbury and Coachella. Joining him is UK drum and bass heavyweight Wilkinson, the producer behind the platinuene, renowned for her genre defying productions and captivating performances on stages around the world. With plenty more artists still to be announced over the coming months, this first lineup is just a taste of what promises to be Snow Machine’s biggest and most exciting festival yet.

From March 2nd-7th 2027, Snow Machine will once again transform Hakuba Valley into the ultimate alpine festival playground, combining world class skiing with unforgettable après parties, mountain stages and headline performances beneath the stars.
Across five incredible festival days, guests can experience eight unique stages across seven mountains, with two stages at the Main Arena. Returning for 2027, the Main Arena will once again come alive with its nightly takeover stages from Thursday through Saturday, each bringing a unique curated experience alongside the festival’s headline performances. Revellers can indulge in Hakuba’s unique culture, carve fresh powder, and celebrate slopeside with friends all week long as Snow Machine delivers a winter escape unlike anywhere else in the world.

Snow Machine Director Quentin Nolan says the 2027 festival is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most immersive editions yet. “Every year we challenge ourselves to create an experience that goes beyond a traditional music festival, and 2027 is no exception. As we celebrate our fifth year in Japan, we’re bringing our biggest lineup yet, alongside brand new stages, fresh mountain activations and even more unforgettable experiences, taking Snow Machine to a whole new level,” Quentin said.
“Snow Machine is about bringing together incredible artists, world class skiing, Japanese culture and unforgettable moments in one of the most spectacular alpine destinations in the world. This first lineup is just the beginning. We’ve got plenty more artists, experiences and surprises still to come, and we can’t wait to welcome thousands of people back to Hakuba for another incredible week on the mountain.”

Guests can spend their days exploring pristine ski terrain before making their way to one of Snow Machine’s iconic on mountain après parties. As the lifts close, the energy continues in the heart of Hakuba, where the Main Arena comes alive with headline performances, immersive production, unforgettable side events and plenty of surprises still to come.

Packages include accommodation, lift passes and festival tickets, making it easier than ever to lock in the ultimate snow holiday. First release packages will be available from just $1,474 per person, offering the best value and lowest prices, with guests able to choose between:
- 5-night packages: Tuesday 2 March – Sunday 7 March 2027
- 7-night packages: Monday 1 March – Monday 8 March 2027

Flexible payment plans will also be available, allowing guests to secure their trip with a $399 per person deposit and pay the remaining balance in instalments throughout the year. Fans eager to secure the best price can register for exclusive pre-sale access from Tuesday 11 August, with a limited allocation of first-release festival tickets and accommodation packages available from 5:00pm AEST on Monday 17 August. Remaining tickets and packages will then go on general sale from 9:00am AEST on Tuesday 18 August.

Australian talent continues to play a major role at Snow Machine, with Australian electric dance duo, Sneaky Sound System, Australian DJ and record producer from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Luude, Melbourne DJ and producer, Sam Alfred, and visionary DJ artist and multifaceted entrepreneur, STÜM, bringing homegrown energy to the slopes.
From English electronic musician and DJ, Elderbrook, all round artist, Kanine, Scottish DJ and broadcaster, Arielle Free, to Irish producer and DJ, Rebūke, Snow Machine welcomes an incredible mix of internationally renowned DJs and producers.Celebrating the local electronic music scene, Snow Machine will once again showcase some of Japan’s most exciting artists, including Tokyo-born DJ and Producer, Risa Taniguchi delivering Ann epic underground techno soundtrack, DJ and producer, Yuuki Yoshiyama, known as the “Tech Maestro” bringing mixes of house, tech house, and techno music, and teenage DJ duo Kaiharubro, brothers Kaito and Haruto, bringing their renowned scratching and mixing skills to one of the country’s most iconic alpine destinations.
