The last few days have been some of the best of the season after the Southern Lakes resorts received 15-35cms of snow last weekend. Fresh powder and blue skies have set up a great conditions for a busy week of events including the Snow Machine Music festival in Queenstown and the Jossi Wells Invitational in Cardrona.

More snow is due tonight with another 5-10cms likely before a typical mixed bag of spring weather into the weekend. Nick Hyne reports from The Remarkables with thanks to  Visit Queenstown and Lake Wanaka tourism.
