Air & Style – Jindabyne to Sydney – Mountainwatch Tour
Mountainwatch | Tour
Much has been said of the Air & Style Big Air competition set to take over Sydney for three consecutive days on August 3rd, 4thand 5th. If you’re not up to date, you can read all about the event and watch/read about Reggae Elliss’ interview with the man responsible – Shaun White – here.
Whilst Sydneysiders are finally spared the long arduous drive to the snowy mountains, instead being able to boast ‘local’ status to the 16-storey ramp on their doorstep, folk closer to the real ski hills face the commute that Sydneysiders know all to well.
To ease the burden, we at Mountainwatch have made getting to the historic event far easier, by putting together an all-inclusive package that will prepare you for the event, short of having to compete yourself.

What we know about the Musical Acts:
Much of the musical line-up is yet to be announced, however, two of the three headline acts have been released – Irish/Scottish rockers Snow Patrol and Rapping superstar Flo Rida.
Flo Rida will be headlining the Friday night (the night before you arrive), whilst Snow Patrol will headline the Saturday night (your first night on this tour). However, 6 featured artists are yet to be announced. The Sunday Headline act – presumably the musical headline for the entire event being one of them. With previous Air + Style headliners featuring the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Flume, Major Lazer, TV On The Radio, and J. Cole, we hope to see another musician with the same star quality.
“I definitely want to make sure it’s of that calibre.” Said Shaun White to triple j Drive’s Gen and Lewis.
“I feel like it needs to match, be just as impressive as the snowboarding line-up. You get these athletes from around the world and so… in that calibre of a Kendrick Lamar, Flume, Diplo, Steve Aoki – those kinds of musicians.” – Shaun White
We’ll be sure to keep you updated when more names are announced!
