It’s all action in the Leichhardt area as the $4.2 million development of the new Leichhardt Quad Chairlift is in full swing and on track for the 2019 season.

With all parts of the existing Leichhardt T-bar including the original foundations now removed, Doppelmayr are on site and have commenced work on the top and bottom stations along with the 6 lift tower locations that will make up the new quad chairlift.

Formwork excavation along with concrete pouring to set new lift foundations for the stations and towers 4 – 6 are close to completion as the team heads into a short break over Christmas.

“With the area surveyed and set out we begin pouring concrete to set the foundations for the towers and stations of the new chairlift. We are aiming to get the foundations towers 4, 5 and 6 completed before Christmas. After Christmas we will transition down and begin working up the hill” – James Buckle – Project Engineer, Dopplemeyr.
