Charles Beckinsale has been building terrain parks in Thredbo and Perisher for 20 years and launched his own business, The Stomping Grounds Project back in 2016, centred in Saas Fee Switzerland where two training sessions are held each October.

Charles has built parks and jumps for film shoots and international team training sessions, including for the Canadian team’s pre-Olympic training setup in Calgary and the training facility in Thredbo used by Australian team athletes last September.

Charles was also involved in the design of the airbag jump at the National Snowsports Training Centre in Jindabyne and it’s fair to say Charles has carved out a niche for himself in the international snow industry with a  reputation as one of the world’s best park builders.

This video was filmed by Red Bull Media at the 2021 Stomping Grounds Session in Saas Fee last October with Red Bull riders Mark McMorris and Brock Crouch talking to Charles about park construction and “of course, we send them out for a little test ride too.”
