In the latest episode of the Chillfactor podcast Reggae Elliss catches up with Australian World Cup freeskier Cameron Waddell. Born and bred in Jindabyne, Cameron has been skiing Perisher since he was two years old and made the move from moguls into park skiing in his early teens.

Cam quickly established himself as the leading junior in the country, represented Australia at the Winter Youth Olympic games and progressed to the World Cup where he competes in slopestyle and big air events. Cameron was focussed on competing at the Beijing Olympics in 2022 but a knee injury prevented him from competing in the first half of the 2021/22 World Cup season and with only a few events to gain the necessary points he just missed out on qualifying.

In the interview Cameron talks about growing up in Jindabyne, the highs and lows of elite competitive, managing injuries, his  goals for the the next World Cup season and how it feels to do a switch triple cork 1800 off a 60-foot jump. A great chat with a great human.
