Thredbo’s Cannonball Mountainbike Festival Celebrating 10 Years,Feb 12-17

Thredbo Resort is gearing up to host a massive 2024 Cannonball MTB Festival presented by Boost Mobile, offering competitors and spectators an action-packed week of racing, entertainment and activations. 

Celebrating its tenth year, Australia’s Biggest MTB Festival will return to Thredbo Mountain Bike Park from February 12 – 17, 2024.

Expected to draw thousands of people to the Snowy Mountains, including a number of the world’s best mountain bike riders, the 2024 Cannonball MTB Festival presented by Boost Mobile is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet.

Not just for competitors, this event is the ultimate spectator experience. With the opportunity to witness the biggest names in mountain biking compete and enjoy a non-stop lineup of entertainment and activations every day, everyone is invited to come along and immerse themselves in everything the Australian MTB world has to offer.

Thredbo is excited to reveal its star-studded list of Cannonball competitors for 2024 including Jackson Goldstone, Laurie Greenland, Nina Hoffman, Steve Peat, Amaury Pierrion, Myriam Nicole, Dylan Maples, Jack Moir, Troy Brosnan, Connor Fearon, Sian A’Hern, Kye A’Hern, Caroline Buchannan, Luke Meier-Smith, Remy Meier-Smith, Oliver Zwar, Jackson Connelly, Jackson Frew, Tegan Cruz, Oisin O’Callaghan, Vali Hoell and Kasper Wooley.

With a start list this strong, spectators are in for an incredible show at every race but the Rockshox Pump Track Finals on Thursday February 15, the all-new Maxxis Dual Slalom Finals on Friday February 16, as well as the Oakley Australian Open Downhill Finals and Deity Whip Wars on Saturday February 17 are all events that are not to be missed.

With a huge variety of terrain remaining open to the public every day throughout the festival, guests are encouraged to bring their bikes and get in some laps in between watching action each day.

The fun doesn’t stop on the race course at Cannonball either with a huge lineup of entertainment, live music and activations happening all week.

On Wednesday February 14 at 5PM, bring the kids and come along to Alpine Bar to meet the pros at the athlete poster signing session.

With daily DJ sets, a huge Cannonball Closing Party at Alpine Bar featuring a set from The Terry’s on Saturday night followed by the Official After Party at The Keller Bar, the live music lineup is stacked all week with free events.

The incredible atmosphere of the Cannonball Pit Village will be back in action all week with a huge variety of the best MTB brands setting up shop and hosting activations each day.
