Tight Lines Returns in 2016 With the Addition of One Wildcard Entry

Tight Lines is an invite-only online video competition, which offers ten of Australia’s best riders one day each to film their perfect non-stop park lap for a share of $5000 in prize money. After its successful debut in 2015, Tight Lines will once again return to the Anton’s Terrain Park at Thredbo Resort this September, giving 12 invited snowboarders one day in which to film their perfect park lap. For the first time, this year we will also be awarding one Wildcard Entry to the rider who submits the judge’s favourite edit on social media using the hashtag #TightLines2016.
This Wildcard Entry will be announced on Monday, August 15 at 12pm via Transfer’s social media channels. Once the Wildcard has been awarded, another 12 invited riders will get the tap and will be announced, resulting in a roster of 13 riders who’ll have the chance to film their perfect park lap.
On Monday September 5, all videos will be live at mountainwatch.com/tightlines and voting will remain open until Thursday, September 15 at 5:00pm. Once closed, votes will be counted from both the public votes, and a selection of votes from key Industry Judges.
In the end, two prizes will be awarded, The People’s Choice Award and The Tightest Line Industry Award, each worth $2,500 cash. With an incredible roster of talent currently on display in the Aussie mountains this year is shaping up to be even bigger and better than 2015.
Voting commences at www.mountainwatch/tightlines on Monday, September 5th and will be open for two weeks. Winners will be announced on Saturday, September 17th at Thredbo.
