Skiing At Perisher This Friday May 31 – Early Opening

With over 60cm of snowfall in the past 3 days and much more in the forecast, Perisher has made the call to start the lifts turning for the 2019 season this Friday 31 May!

The last 3 days have seen extreme blizzard conditions with heavy snowfalls, strong winds & cold temperatures. The resort is looking fantastic and the even better news we still have more snow to come. Yep, the Mountainwatch forecast is predicting further snowfalls into tonight & tomorrow!

 

Best opening in recent years? You betcha!

Perisher will operate the Village 8 Express & the ski carpet from 9am this Friday morning! There will also be Terrain Park features on offer this weekend if you’re excited to get a couple of early season tricks going!

Happy Jacks Bar and Ski Rock Cafe will also be open, however please note that The Perisher Skitube and Shuttle Service between Perisher and Smiggin Holes will not run until the official opening day of June Long Weekend.

Pull out your gear, wax those skis or boards & get prepared for some sliding, It’s snow go time!
