Wolle Nyvelt’s core pursuit in snowboarding is riding powder, something that has taken him to the forefront of design and shaping snowboards.

Working with long-term sponsor Salomon, The Hillside Project series utilises rider feedback and Wolle’s decades-long expertise, Wolle designing a quiver of different boards for different snow, terrain and riders.

In the film Wolle works with three riders, Josh Dirksen, Victor Daviet and Max Buri, building prototypes based on their style and the type of riding they pursue in the mountains. The result is three different boards and some awesome powder and backcountry snowboarding.

“With decades of powder riding and a profound expertise in shaping boards, Wolle Nyvelt has developed a refined process for creating prototypes, utilizing rider feedback and focusing on craftsmanship using the finest materials. The Hillside Project Series is a continuous pursuit in the development of authentic powder shapes, designed to reflect diversity in terrain, snow, and riding style. This is our vision of powder riding.”
