Last night at the Hotel Steyne, self-proclaimed “Super Corporation”, Capita Snowboards, unveiled their latest public service announcement: “Defenders of Awesome 2: Stay Badass” to a packed Tuesday night crowd.
DOA2 features the full CAPiTA team lineup with parts from: “Dusty Crusty” (Dustin Craven), “Brisseburger” (Dan Brisse), “Kenny Chimps” (Cale Zima), “Sleepy Stevens” (Scott Stevens), “Danger Pony” (Jess Zimura), “French Vanilla” (Phil Jacques), “The Bird Man” (Brandon Cocard), “Afroman” (Kazu Kokubo) “Young Joc” (Johnny O’Connor), “The Yaw Goon” (Dylan Gamache) “SD Gerry” (Brendan Gerard) and “Mike Rav” (as himself)…
The movie takes viewers on a journey of ultra-progressive snowboarding through iconic shred-destinations such as Lake Tahoe’s infamous Mid-Sixties; Duluth, Minnesota; Whistler, BC; Hakuba, Japan and many more. Our pick for standout part goes to the man himself: Scott “Sleepy” Stevens, who put down some mind bending one-foot manoeuvres followed closely by the Japanese pow ninja: Kazu “Afroman” Kokubo… Don’t take our word for it though, head down to your local board emporium and get yourself a copy.
