After a winter of inconsistent storms for many resorts in North America, March has turned on with plenty of powder over the past two weeks. The snowfalls have been widespread too with solid storms dropping a heap of snow across most of British Columbia, California’s Sierras, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado.

There have been some big totals with a few resorts receiving the biggest snowfalls of the season over the past week. Whistler Blackcomb has had 182cms in the past week, the highest 7-day total since January 2021, Alta, Utah copping a metres in three days while Palisades Tahoe reports 115cms from the last storm!

And it is not over yet with another storm moving in out of the North Pacific today, this morning’s models calling for 78cms for Palisades Tahoe, 71cms for Whistler Blackcomb and 38cms for Mammoth over the next few days.

No wonder they call it March madness. Here’s a few photos from the past two weeks.
