Three Fatalities, Four Injured in Canadian Heli-ski Crash in British Columbia

Three people have died and four are seriously injured after a helicopter operated by Northern Escape Heli Skiing crashed in the northern British Columbia.
The crash site is in remote country around 50kms northwest of Terrace, BC. Northern Escape had three helicopters in operation at time when communication was lost with one of the machines and a crash site was found.
A Royal Canadian Mounted Police statement said that the other two helicopters shuttled the remaining four passengers from the site where they were met by BC Ambulance Service, Terrace Fire Rescue and taken to hospital. The injuries sustained have been described as serious. The crash is located in a very remote location which is only accessible by helicopter.”
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and at this stage the names of the deceased an injured have not been released.
