Mountainwatch | News
The Mountainwatch team are as passionate about the mountains as you are. Our site has always been about delivering the best mountain weather forecasting, snow news and mountain travel out there!
Which is why we’re excited to announce that we’re adding to our travel offering by joining forces with our sister company, iconic travel brand, Liquid Snow Tours.
What does this mean? Mountainwatch Travel is about to reach new heights, snow-capped and all! We’ve now got the added benefit of 16 years of travel experience on our team, and company-owned ski properties and offices on the ground in Australia, Japan and New Zealand.
We’re looking forward to travelling the world again just as much as you are and we’re confident it won’t be long before we’re hitting big lines in Japan, Canada, USA and New Zealand. Our team, with their years of experience chasing pow and designing ultimate ski holidays, have been working on some epic snow packages in Hakuba, Myoko Kogen and Shiga Kogen for Japan 2022 – with guided tours and other resorts coming to the Mountainwatch Travel pages soon.
From local tips and tricks, to 24/7 in-resort services, and the best value trips out there, Mountainwatch Travel is your one-stop-shop for everything mountain travel related. Where else can you check snow reports, see where the best snow is falling and book a trip to that destination right away? Then head to our Mountainwatch Store to score the latest gear and get shred ready. Just picture arriving in Japan to welcome drinks, spending your days being guided to the ‘white gold’ hot-spots and your nights in traditional onsens (or izakayas for a sake or two). Bring on 2022!
As lovers of the mountains year-round, we’re also pumped to announce that Mountainwatch Travel is now offering mountainbike packages in Queenstown, New Zealand. Whether you’re keen to hit the town’s world-famous bike parks, Great Rides and trail networks or cycle at your own pace (with mandatory Central Otago vineyard stops), there’s an unforgettable experience waiting for you.
