ON THE GROUND REPORT
Aug 16 2025 06:47 AM: It is cloudy and we've had 8cms of snow overnight, more up high, the temps are currently -2.3 at the base in Perisher and -3.9 up the top with a WNW at 20-35km/hr. There is a break in the snow showers now but hopefully we'l get another 5-10cms during the day. _________________ There is a good cover of dry fresh snow across the resort and the groomed runs will be very good this morning with a top layer of fresh snow on a packed base. Plenty of fresh turns off piste with some deeper wind-drifts, best up high while it is shallow in open areas with firm snow underneath._____________There is snow and ice on the road and chains are required this morning from Wilsons Valery to Perisher and on the Guthega road. While it's not a lot of snow so far, it is great to see some fresh snow, enjoy it and have a great day. - Reggae
