ON THE GROUND REPORT

Fri Aug 17, 6.AM.

Here comes another one.

The wind has picked up to a moderate north-westerly ahead of yet another significant snow bearing system.  The sky is mostly clear and the temperature is minus 5 so the snowguns blazing and adding to the dusting of natural snow we had yesterday evening.  The combination of machine made snow and a little wind blown fresh has improved the groomed runs substantially this morning, and now most of them have some dry snow sitting on top of a solid base.  Off piste will be very firm apart a few shallow pockets that have collected the wind blown snow.  Things are shaping up pretty well for another wild weekend of powder skiing so make the dash if you can.

Have a beaut day.

Cheers Bill.
